Left Bank Art Gallery

Welcome to the Left Bank Art Gallery, a public art gallery located in Greymouth, New Zealand. Opened in 1992 and operated by the West Coast Society of Arts Inc, the gallery is housed in the historic former Bank of New Zealand building, situated on the left bank of the Grey River.

Our gallery offers regular exhibits of contemporary New Zealand paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, and crafts, with a strong emphasis on local content.

Free entry

We are open 10am–4pm Tuesday to Friday and 10.30am–2pm Saturday.

    Presenting our mid year members show.

    Where West Coast artists come together.

    Anyone can join as a member and submit work into our two members shows - one over summertime and one mid-year, each year. Membership is $20 per year if you’re unwaged, $30 per year as an individual or $40 per year for family/whanau. Free for students and under 18’s.

    We want your work to arrive on Friday 15th of May by 4pm, along with your contact details, be ready to hang/install, how much you want to receive for it if it is for sale or NFS (not for sale). We will calculate the retail based on how much you want to receive.
